current mood: disappointed
current song: FRIENDS S08E22
i live on the 11th floor, but my blocks only have corridors for the 6th, 10th and 14th floors. for the rest of the floors we have this little ledge thing that is like 1m long to prevent any killer litter and shit. i only have one other neighbour, and that's the one opposite us. so today my sister was like, Jie Jie do you hear this meowing outside? it's been going on for an hour! i popped my head out and i did hear meowing so we started looking. i went down and my grandma went up but where it was really coming from was from my neighbour's side of the ledge. and it was a tiny little kitten, trapped on the ledge AND I LIVE ON THE 11TH FLOOR.
when it saw us peeping at it through the holes it ran right to the other side of the ledge and positioned itself right at the very edge of it. i was REALLY FREAKING OUT HERE i mean it's just a kitten it can fall right down anytime i cannot live like this!!! so my sister and i ran right to the other side of the ledge, to another door that we have never seen before in our entire time living here (no idea who lives there too) and tried to lure it back in with water, food my meowing, long long yarn, laser lights, flash light, calling it sweetheart but NO. it was too scared to move and it's a fucking black cat i can barely even see its face all i saw was a silhouette.
well my grandma did have a brilliant idea she took a mop and from the 10th floor corridor she reached up and tried to shoo the cat in. it worked. i can breathe again. if you're wondering why we haven't called any of the authorities or the civil defense it's cause we're brought up to not try and trouble people until we really have no choice.
now my whole point about this was that NO ONE CARED. NO ONE FUCKING CARED THAT THERE WAS TWO GIRLS MEOWING AT A LEDGE, BRINGING UP BELLS AND WATER AND FOOD AND YARN, MEOWING NON-STOP. no one bothered to ask. and there were people around there was this karaoke session going on pretty hardcore with people running up and down but no one bothered to ask.
when one of the people living at that side came back home and i asked if he has the key (there was a gate leading to the ledge that was locked, it was how the kitten got in there the first place) and he said no, took one look at the kitten and went it. WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK DO YOU NOT HAVE EMPATHY AT ALL?! THERE IS A FUCKING KITTEN RIGHT AT THE EDGE OF A 11TH STOREY LEDGE AND YOU CAN JUST SAY OH NO SORRY AND HEAD BACK IN?!
his parents did pop their heads out and ask what's going on, i think i did see the dad fumble about some keys but the mom just remained there and smiled at us like we were some angels trying to save a kitten while she watch over us like God.
now, do you really wonder why i like animals more than human beings now?
